Description

This pin is so cool! It looks great, but has a lot of added value because of the incredible inscription on the back. I’m not sure which Quincy Woman’s Club it’s referring to, but there is a famous one in Florida that’s on the National Registry of Historic Places. Could be MA, or any other Quincy, I suppose. There’s a very faint maker’s mark at the top that says Sterling Burgess. The pin mechanism works perfectly. It’s missing one of the ‘blobs of paint’ on the front, but it doesn’t take away from the look of it much at all. It’s quite heavy, at 15 grams. I didn’t polish it or clean it at all as I’m pretty sure the buyer would not want me to. This is a one of a kind piece of history! Please see photos for more details. If anyone has any info on who the Art Chairman (or woman?) of the Quincy Woman’s Club was from 1964 to 1967, I’d absolutely LOVE to know, so please message me!
